Yesterday, Kristen over at Adult Ballerina Project wrote about taking up a 30 day split challenge – stretching for 30 minutes every day for 30 days – and asked if anyone wanted to join her. Well, reader… I’ve decided to take up the challenge. I am modifying it a bit because the big show falls on Days 25 and 26 of the challenge and I need to focus most of my time on conditioning and reviewing steps and choreography. I am committing to 15 minutes every day for 30 days. I doubt my 33 year old body will be able to do a full split in 30 days, but we’ll see what happens. I’m excited about participating because of the accountability aspect, as well as having the support and encouragement of the other participants.
I started the challenge this morning, but forgot to measure who many inches I need to conquer. Oops! I’ll document that info tomorrow. And I won’t be able to post a “before” photo until the weekend. I probably won’t update every day, but I’ll give frequent progress reports.
